I love my church!

I wish I'd gone today. It was on the news tonight. Wanna know why?

I go to Second Congregational Church, which is a United Church of Christ. Apparently UCC made an ad claiming that UCC doesn't turn people away because they are different - different race or different sexual orientation - because Christ didn't turn people away. I am looking for an online version of the whole ad. The news only had a few seconds ot it. They went to 2nd Con this morning to ask church members how they felt about the ad.

The 3 main networks won't run the ad. Here it is. The ad. An article about the network refusal to run it. I am completely sickened by this attitude.

I chose this church because I found a feedback form on the church's website. I left a brief note asking about how accepting it was. I'd been stung by Illinois Presbyterians and wasn't too keen on trying that again. The Paster wrote back right away and reassured me on many points.
